Jacob May
Clarinetist, Saxophonist, Student

     Jacob May is currently a student at the University of Central Florida. He is studying clarinet under Dr. Koons as a Bachelor of Music Performance. He is very active in several larger ensembles, such as being the Principle Clarinetist in the Wind Ensemble, the Symphony Orchestra, and plays saxophone in the UCF Marching Knights. He is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, playing Saxophone in the Jazz band of the Mu Eta chapter.

     May has been in the Brevard Symphony Youth Orchestra’s Symphony Orchestra for three years under the direction of Joseph Kreines. Through out his high school career, he received superior ratings at district and state levels and participated in the all-county band. At Bayside High School, during his senior year, he was one of two drum majors, in which the band received straight superiors at district that year.
